1100m: Similar to the 1050m start. Inside barriers are a distinct advantage.
1200m: Starts at the end of a chute off the course proper. There is a long straight run to the first bend from this gate. Inside barriers are a slight advantage.
1600m: Located in the back section with a short run to the first corner. Inside barriers have a distinct advantage.
2000m: Starts on the turn into the back straight. Inside barriers are an advantage, especially in larger fields.
2500m: Located in the home straight on the course proper. Barriers are of little importance.
3200m: The cup start is situated near the home bend. Barriers are of little importance.
