Canterbury

1100m: Located on the course proper in the back straight, this barrier provides a good run to the sweeping double turn out of the back. Inside barriers have a slight advantage.
1250m: Starts in a chute at the end of the back straight. Good straight run to the first corner means barriers are of little consequence.
1280m: Also located in the chute at the end of the back straight. Again barriers are of little consequence.
1550m: Located in a small chute off the course proper. Short run of 100m to the sweeping turn into the back straight. Fields are limited from this start so barriers are of little consequence.
1900m: This start is located in a small chute at the top of the home straight. Good straight run of 300m to the sweeping turn into the back straight. Inside barriers are an advantage, especially in big fields.
